"If now there's a remedy, why cope with a complex?"
Half a century ago it seemed impossible that hair bulbs, harvested from the nape, know as the donor area, could "take root" in the bald area: instead this experiment worked out superbly.
On the horizon there was still another futuristic target: autografting single hairs in order to obtain a perfect naturalness, thus eliminating the so-called "doll effect".
Today this target has been achieved.
Micrografts have superseded the old "tufts" and surgeons may with great skill dedicate themselves to the reconstruction of the frontal line, thus producing a new look, even after years of total baldness.
Nevertheless, due to misinformation, in Italy too many patients still count on superseded techniques (synthetic hair, wigs) and rely on unqualified staff.
This is why the I.S.H.R. (Italian Society of Hair Restoration) was founded: for "formation" and "information".
To form experts. To inform public opinion.

The Italian Society of Hair Restoration Surgery with the XIII International Congress of Capri 2010 has pursued a 16 years long
history of success now witnessed first by the numbers: 140 participants from 23 different countries. A faculty composed of
international opinion-leaders surgeons. The Congress dealt with controversial topics of great current, placing them under the
light of a more practical and immediate approach, pointing out clearly what works and what instead does not work.
